Want to improve your knowledge of various financial matters? DMCC provides online educational courses that you may take from the comfort of your home. Debt, Money & Credit Concepts, Home Sweet Home and the Pre-Discharge Debtor Education Course were developed and written by DMCC certified credit counselors and are designed to help you manage your personal finances.

Enrollment keys are required to access these courses. If you are a part of a group that has been assigned to take one of these courses, you must enroll in the course with the “enrollment key” provided by your teacher to receive credit.  If you were not assigned to take a course, you may use the case sensitive enrollment key Dmcc3310! to access.

Debt, Money & Credit Concepts

Debt, Money & Credit Concepts is a self-study course containing 15 separate modules. The course is designed to teach you basic financial education that will help you manage your personal finances and make informed financial decisions. The estimated time to complete this course is 2 hours. This course is available to all consumers free of charge.

Home Sweet Home; Home Ownership Educational Course

Home Sweet Home is a self-study course containing 10 lessons. It is designed to increase your knowledge and skills in the area of home ownership, including financial management and home preservation. You must spend a cumulative total of 1 hour to complete this course. This course is available to all consumers free of charge.

Make Your Move; Pre-Purchase Homebuyer Course

Make Your Move is a comprehensive home-buying guide developed by the American Center for Credit Education. The course contains 11 lessons, each of which is followed by a set of review questions to test your comprehension. The estimated time to complete the course is 5 to 6 hours, which can be done over an extended period of time at your convenience. At the end of the course, you will be able to print a certificate demonstrating your successful completion. This certificate maybe used when applying for a first time homebuyer assistance program such as down payment assistance, closing costs assistance or mortgage credit.  Click HERE to learn more about this course, and to register.

Pre-Discharge Debtor Education Course

Pre-Discharge Debtor Education Course is for consumers who have already filed for bankruptcy, but must complete a personal financial management course from an approved provider and receive a Certificate of Debtor Education before their debts can be discharged. DMCC has designed this educational course to meet the requirements of the bankruptcy code and give you knowledge that will help you navigate through your day-to-day financial affairs. You must spend a cumulative total of 2 hours to complete this course. This course requires an enrollment key to access and payment of a fee to DMCC for issuance of the required certificate.
