Charitable Services

DMCC is committed to supporting the community by providing aid to numerous charities and service organizations. Every year, the DMCC Scholarship Fund (click here to view scholarship winners) helps a student of the Florida Atlantic University Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College fund their education to achieve academic and professional success. Every month DMCC also helps local charities by organizing food and clothing drives, providing volunteers, and making every effort to help the chosen charity thrive and succeed. Our employees are very enthusiastic about lending a hand to these charities and they provide not only tangible goods (canned goods, clothes, etc.), but also many of their leisure hours to serve the organizations.

Over the years we have made a difference in a variety of charities. Following is a brief sample of what we have been doing lately.

 

July 2006: DMCC Supports:  Palm Beach County Sherrifs Office School Supply Drive Every year DMCC partners with the community to collect school supplies for children who are in financial need and could use the extra help.  This year is no different.  Sergeant Linda Hamilton, of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, started a school supplies drive to help children in Belle Glade, Pahokee, Canal Point and South Bay.  DMCC was glad to show their support and partook in the collection process. Corporal John Wildon, was kind enough to come and pick up the school supplies which will distributed to the students who greatly need them.
