Every month DMCC also helps local charities by organizing food and clothing drives, providing volunteers, and making every effort to help the chosen charity thrive and succeed. Our employees are very enthusiastic about lending a hand to these charities and they provide not only tangible goods (canned goods, clothes, etc.), but also many of their leisure hours to serve the organizations.

Over the years we have made a difference in a variety of charities. Following is a brief sample of what we have been doing lately.

March 2009: The Covenant House

For the month of March, DMCC adopted Covenant House as their Charity of the Month.  Employees were asked to donate clothing that was acceptable for job interviewing as the older residents of Covenant House will be seeking employment and need proper work attire.  We are glad to report that over 100 articles of clothing will be donated to the young adults who are looking for work.

February 2009: Women Distress

For the month of February, DMCC collected cleaning products to benefit the battered women and children who are part of Women in Distress (WID) in Fort Lauderdale. Their mission is to provide victims of domestic violence with safe shelter, crisis intervention and resources, and to educate the community in order to Stop Abuse For Everyone (SAFE) through Intervention, Education and Advocacy. We are glad to report that because of your efforts, we will be donating a generous amount of supplies to this worthwhile organization.

A special thanks to our great employees for all your help!

January 2009: Broward Outreach Bike Giveaway

For the month of January we received a large donation of bicycles from the Boca Raton Police Department. DMCC put together a team to clean up the bikes and we donated them to Broward Outreach Center, a homeless shelter where we teach a weekly financial seminar.

A special thanks to our great employees for all your help!

DMCC is committed to supporting the community by providing aid to numerous charities and service organizations.

“I take care of the toy drive during the winter. I send DMCC a little star of the children with up to three items they want. DMCC sometimes even buys each child all three items listed on the star.
